Lesson Of The Sabbath

So today in Sunday school, we had a combined lesson(first Sunday in our new ward btw, and it was good!) We were given the lesson by the Bishop, Bishop Knight(who sounds like Tom Hanks...EXACTLY LIKE HIM!) Anyways, it was a great lesson. In the lesson, he asked the following questions: "As I approach the Savior, I...", "As He calls my name, I...", and "As I look into His eyes, I...". These questions really stood out to me, and I think it was a much needed eye opener. Not that I am a "bad person", I mean I don't do anything "bad" but I certainly know I could do better. As I approach the Savior, I want to be completely clean, and know that I am doing my abolsute best. I want to know without a doubt that I am worthy to live with Him. I want to be able to look at him, and not feel giult. I know no one is perfect, but for now, I think its the little things. Dilligently study my scriptures, study the Saviors life, pray morning and night-I am really good about saying my nightly prayers, but I often forget to wake up and show my gratitude to the Lord. I attend all my church meetings, but perhaps, just maybe, I can listen better, and put everything from the world aside, and just focus on what is being taught, whether by the speaker, or by the Holy Ghost. And although I rarely miss a nightly personal prayer, often times I am too tired to kneel down-maybe I could be better at that. Our Father in Heaven, and our elder brother Jesus Christ, have done so much for us, and love us more than we can even fathom, the least I can do is that. I can be in charge of not forgetting to do our family prayers. Those are important as well!! I can do better at being more Christ-like... He loves everyone, and I can out aside the "natural man" in me, and try to love everyone as He did. Perhaps serving more would bring me closer to Him. I can be better about asking "why me?", and foget about me! There is someone else out there that is need of His love, and I can be His hands on this earth. I can bring someone peace, love, and comfort. Perhaps even bring someone to the Gospel. He has given me a countless number of things, and I need to start truly realizing it, and giving it back. "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
Somebody's down to thier last dime
Somebody's running out of time
Not too far from here
Somebody's got nowhere else to go
Somebody needs a little hope
Not too far from here
And I may not know their name
But I'm praying just the same
That You'll use me Lord to wipe away a tear
Cause somebody's crying
Not too far from here

Somebody's troubled and confused
Somebody's got nothing left to lose
Not too far from here
Somebody's forgotten how to trust
Somebody's dying for love
Not too far from here
It may be a stranger's face
But I'm praying for Your grace
To move in me and take away the fear
Cause somebody's hurting
Not too far from here

Help me Lord not to turn away from pain
Help me not to rest while those around me weep
Give me Your strength and compassion
When somebody finds the road of life too steep

Somebody's troubled and confused
Somebody's got nothing left to lose
Not too far from here
Somebody's forgotten how to trust
And somebody's dying for love
Not too far from here
Now I'm letting down my guard
And I'm opening my heart
Help me speak Your love to every needlful ear
Someone is waiting not too far from here
Someone is waiting not too far from here
 Lets be that person :)
